It was great to meet up with Tim and his family. Our family appreciated this family’s heart of love and sincerity towards our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. When we biblically consider the present status quo of the church organization as a whole today, unfortunately, we find it shallow and powerless. I would also recommend we re-connect ourself to God’s original plan found in the scriptures on how the church conducted itself in the house compared to now, affirming my brother’s biblical perspective on the church.

A true blessing. I fully agree with the church meeting in the home, but did not Paul also teach in the synagogues? This of course was to reach the jews in there traditional place of meeting and to challenge the mindset. The traditional mindset of the modern person is “to go to the church building” therefore I would say that we should also preach in the traditional “buildings”. We currently have a “public service” in a local school hall and the rest of our meetings take place in the homes of the saints.

1 Cor.14:26 Paul addresses the participatory function of the body. Let everything be done unto edifying. Body life must be Christ directed or it is just a social gathering. We are to listen to the Head (Christ) and function together being led by the Holy Spirit. If any man speaks let him speak as the oracle of God. Leaders lead but are not head of the body. They bring the body up to maturity. Eph4:11 Form follows function, we gather in small groups so interaction is practiced and necessary to exercise our spiritual gifts together and grow together. The larger the group interaction and body function is nullified. Our life is spiritual and must function in the Spirit as it is intended by the LORD.
